Charter Trip Planning

Rudee Inlet offers convenient access to the coastal waters, the open Atlantic, and
Chesapeake Bay. Enjoy the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, nightlife, and great dining while you’re here. There’s also plenty to do when you’re not fishing!

We will help you arrange a trip that meets your needs, provides outstanding service and an enjoyable experience on the water.

What Fishing Gear, Food, and Clothing Do I Bring to the Boat?
Many find that a small Duffle Bag or Gym Bag is a great way to carry your rain gear, extra tee shirt, hat, and other personal items that you need to bring on a salt water fishing trip. The soft bags are easy to store aboard the boat and don’t have sharp edges if conditions get a little rough. Bring polarized sun glasses to lessen the sun’s glare that reflects up off the water. Bring sun screen (non-oil) and SPF protection clothing if you have it. Please do not spray your Sun Screen on your body while aboard on the outside decks, it gets dangerously slippery. Spray into your hands and then apply, or do it before we depart the dock. Bring a ball cap or a fishing hat to protect you from the intense sun. Bring a camera or video camera to take snapshots or video of those big game fish you release. Remember that cameras can get wet and bumped around during the action so safeguard your gear.

A word about Sea Sickness

If you tend to get sea sick or aren’t sure if you get sea sick then it is a very wise idea to take your Dramamine or Bonine motion sickness pills before you leave the dock. Nothing can ruin a fishing trip worse than a guy named “RALPH”. We will try to make your trip as comfortable as possible. Eat light if the conditions may be rough.

Coolers

We have plenty of cold storage aboard for your drinks and food and of course your fish, during the trip. We limit the number of guest coolers on board so we have more room to fish and be comfortable. You can transfer your catch of fish to your own cooler when we return to the dock.

What Fishing Gear Does the Captain Supply?

All the fishing rods and reels are supplied though you are allowed to bring your own gear on some types of trips. Ask the Captain. All required licenses and permits are provided. You will not need any individual licenses. Bait and tackle is supplied. This includes artificial baits/lures, live bait, frozen bait, chum, etc. All ice is supplied.

Food and Drink

Bring your own food and drinks. Ice and fresh water are provided and we usually have a large assortment of snacks on board. Beer and alcohol are permitted for legal age passengers, just stay safe. The Captain and Crew are never allowed to consume alcohol during the conduct of boating operations, so please don’t offer.
